What is a HEPA filter

HEPA originally comes from aerospace. Now this technique is also used in air purifiers to filter pollution from the indoor air. HEPA stands for: High Efficiency Particulate Air. HEPA filters are air filters that, depending on the type of filter, retain a minimum of 85% and a maximum of 99.999995% of all dust particles (most penetrating particle size) of 0.1 micrometer (µm).
